Meet One Year Old L: Puyallup Toddler Photography

On Saturday I had the great pleasure to shoot Little Man L's first birthday photos. Last time I saw L, he was a newbie, barely two weeks old, so it was so much fun to see how big he has grown! L was my first baby that I've done both newborn photos and cake smash photos for, and it's really an amazing feeling to have my photography come full circle =)
Little Man L was not very happy to be confined to one spot when there was so much to explore. We had smiles, flirts, serious faces, and yes, even some tears (I think he knew there was a yummy cupcake waiting for him and we were taking too long to get to it). He really made Mom & Dad proud with his cake smashing skills! He didn't even leave any of his cupcake left for Dad (but don't worry, Mom had an extra one for back up that I'm sure Dad was able to eat later!).
Happy Birthday L!

Meet Six Month Old H: Seattle Baby Photography

I absolutely love it when clients bring their families back for repeat sessions, and Baby H, Sister K and Mom K are no exception! Dad wasn't able to make it to this session on Thursday, but we had a great time with just the girls! Big Sister K totally knows how to rock the camera, I don't even think I ever had to tell her how to pose (that girl is a natural!). And it was so much fun to see Baby H again! Last time I saw her, she was a tiny newborn, and now she is a smiling and bubbly six month old! I really can't believe how fast these babies are growing up on me!
I'm sure Mom is dying to see some of the photos, so here are a couple teasers to keep everyone satisfied:

Meet 1 Year Old C: Seattle Toddler Photography

One of my photo babies turned ONE on Wednesday, and I was invited to come and capture that special time!!! My favorite part of my job is when I get to see these babies grow! And little C didn't disappoint! He's such a big boy now, and still very much a ham for the camera!
We had a great time playing ball, and C definitely made us proud during the cake smash photos!!! Check out these adorable photos!

Meet the B Family:: Seattle Family Photographer

On Saturday the B family came to my home studio for their family photos! I had met daughter K and her family last fall when I took family photos for her husband's family, and now it was time for her family to have photos taken! I couldn't believe how much little A has changed, and let me tell you, he's got some rockin moves for a 9 month old!

I really enjoyed meeting the rest of the family as well, especially little miss K! She started out a little on the shy side, but after breaking out the fairy wings, she quickly found her model side! This family was so much fun to work with, and I hope everyone enjoys these teasers!

Meet Little Miss A: Washington Toddler Photograher

On Monday I got to hang out with my friend K and her beautiful daughter A! Little Miss A was full of smiles and absolutely LOVED the attention we were giving her! Of course, it probably helps that she's an old pro at this modeling thing now!

Every time I photograph A, it really amazes me that she arrived over two months early and weighing in at a little over 2 lbs. She's come such a far way during her few months, and as we've said since her birth, she's definitely a Tigger instead of an Eeyore! And just look at what new tricks she has now:

Meet the S Family: Seattle Maternity Photographer

Last weekend I drove out to Bothell to meet and photograph the S family, who were expecting their second baby. We had a great time, despite my camera's technical difficulties! Their son was such a ham for the camera, and totally made my job easy and enjoyable! And Dad was a great sport too! He even managed to crack Mom up many times, which then lead to the real smiles =) The only thing that was hard was trying to control my own laughter so my camera didn't shake!
Thanks for allowing me into your home to capture this very special time! I wish you an enjoyable and healthy last few weeks of pregnancy!

When it rains, it pours!

And nope, I'm not referring to the Seattle weather (which is actually gorgeous for a change!). Last Friday our furnace went out and we had to pay to get the motor replaced (even though the other one was only 3 years old!). It was under warranty still, thank goodness, and wasn't that bad to deal with, but of course, bad things happen in threes.
That same afternoon, Photoshop stopped working on my laptop. I tried everything to fix it, but nothing seemed to be working. Then on Sunday, while at a photo shoot with a client, my Canon 40D kept giving me the Error 99 message and stopped working. I took it home, tried a few things and it worked for awhile until the next day's photo shoot, in which it stopped working again. Called Canon that night and they had my mail it in. Sometimes I really hate technology!

Okay, so now the rainbow side of things!
Our house has heat now and I don't have to huddle all day by the gas fire place any more! My friend Kate flew back home this week and took my laptop with her, and her computer genius cousin is taking a look at it (Thanks Jess! I owe you big time!). I mailed my camera on Tuesday (which felt a bit like sending my baby away to camp), and hopefully Canon receives it today and can fix it soon.

I fell a little behind with my editing, but now have a week to catch up before I go on a much needed vacation!
