Have I mentioned lately how much I love my job? I get to meet gorgeous babies, just like newborn sweetness Baby F! Sunday's session was amazing with F and his mom, dad, grandma and cat! Baby F didn't want to miss a minute of it and refused to sleep for over an hour. I think we tired him out finally and he dozed off and curled up into sweet newborn squishyness!
Saturday afternoon I had another session, this time with Baby L, a very handsome two week old. He was awake for the first couple of hours, reminding me as to why I never set time limits for newborn photos. We were able to get some great shots while he was awake, and once he fell asleep he was so zonked he let us pose him in any position. Total dream! And his big sis was absolutely, amazingly patient! Totally earned a trip to the zoo!
Saturday morning I had a surprise photo shoot with Little Man G and it really was fun! This little guy is very active (I have no idea how Mom keeps up!) and we had a blast discovering his field. He was very cooperative and slowed down a few times so I could snap some great shots. Thanks for playing with me G!
As I've said before, one of the most rewarding aspects of being a photographer is the repeat customers. I love when I get to meet newborn babies, and then those same babies come back months later and they are so big! Such was the case with Saturday's family photo session. I met the W family six months ago when little miss M was a tiny newbie. Now she's a very happy six month old, full of smiles and special noises =)
I have a lot to be thankful for this holiday season, including good friends like the S family! Which is why I was so happy to photograph them the day after Thanksgiving! The weather was absolutely gorgeous on Friday, and we met up at Pt Defiance in Tacoma. We hung out and got some great shots, and everyone was full of smiles (of course, that may be because they were laughing at my duck waddle impressions).
