Meet Little Miss A: Washington Toddler Photograher

On Monday I got to hang out with my friend K and her beautiful daughter A! Little Miss A was full of smiles and absolutely LOVED the attention we were giving her! Of course, it probably helps that she's an old pro at this modeling thing now!

Every time I photograph A, it really amazes me that she arrived over two months early and weighing in at a little over 2 lbs. She's come such a far way during her few months, and as we've said since her birth, she's definitely a Tigger instead of an Eeyore! And just look at what new tricks she has now:

Meet the S Family: Seattle Maternity Photographer

Last weekend I drove out to Bothell to meet and photograph the S family, who were expecting their second baby. We had a great time, despite my camera's technical difficulties! Their son was such a ham for the camera, and totally made my job easy and enjoyable! And Dad was a great sport too! He even managed to crack Mom up many times, which then lead to the real smiles =) The only thing that was hard was trying to control my own laughter so my camera didn't shake!
Thanks for allowing me into your home to capture this very special time! I wish you an enjoyable and healthy last few weeks of pregnancy!

When it rains, it pours!

And nope, I'm not referring to the Seattle weather (which is actually gorgeous for a change!). Last Friday our furnace went out and we had to pay to get the motor replaced (even though the other one was only 3 years old!). It was under warranty still, thank goodness, and wasn't that bad to deal with, but of course, bad things happen in threes.
That same afternoon, Photoshop stopped working on my laptop. I tried everything to fix it, but nothing seemed to be working. Then on Sunday, while at a photo shoot with a client, my Canon 40D kept giving me the Error 99 message and stopped working. I took it home, tried a few things and it worked for awhile until the next day's photo shoot, in which it stopped working again. Called Canon that night and they had my mail it in. Sometimes I really hate technology!

Okay, so now the rainbow side of things!
Our house has heat now and I don't have to huddle all day by the gas fire place any more! My friend Kate flew back home this week and took my laptop with her, and her computer genius cousin is taking a look at it (Thanks Jess! I owe you big time!). I mailed my camera on Tuesday (which felt a bit like sending my baby away to camp), and hopefully Canon receives it today and can fix it soon.

I fell a little behind with my editing, but now have a week to catch up before I go on a much needed vacation!
